What do I need to drive a boat in Florida?
If you are born after January 1st, 1988 you will need an FWC boating safety card.
We can help you with this; just give us a call!

What boating training courses are available in Florida?
There are four main options for boating courses in Florida.
- Online courses
- Classroom courses
- Courses on our boat
- Courses on your boat
We specialize in "on your boat".

What is "on your boat" training?
"On your boat" training is training held on your own boat, new or old.
We find this is the best way to learn how to boat because every boat is different.

How do I get insurance for my vessel?
First you will need an insurance agent.
If you are moving up in size of vessel, we are able to work with your insurance provider to remove a full time captain requirement, giving you the freedom to use your boat as you please once you have completed our training days.

Do you have boat training near me?
We have 55 captains nationwide who are all excellent sources of experience and knowledge.
Our captains come to you - meaning that we travel to your boat for the training.
If we do not have a captain where you are located, we can send one to you for a small fee.

What should I bring to training?
Water, snacks, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, and a rain jacket for just in case.

Can my children take the training with me?
Yes, as long as they are 13 years old or older.

Is tipping customary?
Tips are customary and greatly appreciated by the captains in this service oriented field, but not obligatory.
